we've already had 10 or more years for something to 'take hold.' around 18, actually.

so when are these dire effects going to kick in, do ya think?

No one is forced to buy seed from Monsanto, they are perfectly capable of buying elsewhere. Farmers buy from Monsanto because they offer the best value of product and price. You are perfectly welcome to go into the seed business.

Most of the tear-jerking, anti-science crowd are so terrified about Monsanto and others with GMO products, they throw around terms like "Frankenfood"...but can't back up a single word with evidence or science indicating that there is any danger in any of it.
thank you mr. breath of fresh air

The "evidence" is concealed while the work goes on.

Guess you never heard of Market Forces, propelled by Big Government.

Glow Ball Government.

Watch what goes on in your brain after eating GM corn.

You might get a sudden urge to eat the face off of someone.

The problem as I see it isn't that their products are going to kill us. We are living longer every year so obviously this isn't some plot to kill off people. The problem is someone like Monsanto squashing anything that might be negative and the lack of coverage of their actions. Here is a good example.

Richard Schiffman: The Fox (Monsanto) Buys the Chicken Coop (Beeologics)

There is science behind the idea that the problems we have experienced with bee's may be related to these altered substances. What does Monsanto do? They buy up the company doing the research. How do you know this? You have to search hard to find the information.

The big guys buying up all the little producers is never going to be a good thing in the end. Safe food is still a problem when a small group owns it all.

you make some valid points. but beeologics is hardly the only entity in the US, much less the world, researching the issues with honeybees. there is a vast amount of work going on in academia alone that dwarfs what beeologics is doing.

Probably so. Monsanto isn't buying up all the small seed companies in one day either.

Coercive market forces. Monsanto is exceptional.

as your article points out, though, GMOs are not even involved in bee declines so it's a bit off-topic.

I'd like to know what food hasn't been safe before Monsanto came along. I'd MUCH rather eat from local farm markets and farms than go to a supermarket. As a matter of fact, I'm stopping on my way home to get a nice bloody Rib-eye from the market near me.

The chemicals go hand in hand with the seeds.
