I tend to disagree. Most hispanics I encounter will deliberately speak Spanish instead of English even though they know English. Very few that I know speak English over Spanish.
Becoming Americanize is speaking English as your first language & native tongue.
That has been my experience also and I agree totally with your last sentence also.
This thread was specifically about immigrants, the Navajo and Hopi and others have been here a while and share a common history with the country for the last 500 years.
I was addressing the fact that the OP seems to be wandering through life thinking all Americans have a common culture and speak English.

he is because they have the knowledge to create, especially indian and chinese immigrants.
americans know how to use a smartphone, they can't create an app or create a network though.
there are plenty of skilled jobs available in this country, the problem is Americans are not skilled enough for the positions. we are a service based country, restaurants, fast food, retail, thats what we do well.
The best engineers are from north america. Who creates most startups ? Asian immigrants ? Or american kids ? The asians are not as skilled, period. They are just cheaper.

We would have a lot of children without parents. It would be bad.
