They already said they were taking on who they can.. and you're crying about it not being enough..

How on earth can you say you are for healthcare for everyone for free in one sentence and in the next say that government needs to make sure the docs get paid? This will all come at taxpayer expence and it hurts the people that can least afford it.

Actually they are choosing to not take on medicaid patients. I bet they don't mind taking cash and private insurance payers though. That is discrimination

No it's not. Ever eat or drink anywhere that is "Cash Only" ?
They can take whatever form of payment that is best for their business.

Hector Flores, a doctor in Los Angeles, told The New York Times that his practice of 26,000 patients — a third with Medicaid — would take only 1,000 or so such patients. “There could easily be 10,000 patients looking for us, and we’re just not going to be able to serve them,†Flores said.

And why not? BECAUSE THEY ARENT BEING PAID.. So how exactly do these doctor offices stay open without payment?

Its impossible to take you seriously after you posted something this dumb. Those that can afford to pay, especially those with $1M + inheritance arent on medicaid..

And to AppalachianAmerican -
  • did the undergrad school the doctor attended educate them out of the kindness of their heart?
  • did the medical school the doctor attended educate them out of the kindness of their heart?
  • do all of the people the doctor owes money to, like the public utilities, mortgage lender, various stores for clothing, furnishing, groceries, etc all give the doctor a free pass on what they are owed out of the kindness of their hearts?
  • do the suppliers of the medical equipment that doctor uses to deliver their health care services provide the equipment for free out of the kindness of their heart?
  • do the employees of the hospital/office where the doctor works do their work supporting that doctor's delivery of health care for free, out of the kindness of their hearts?
Whole lotta people in the chain of health care delivery, so why is the doctor the only one required to choke on losses out of the kindness of their heart?

What is terrifying is how many people lack basic reading comprehension skills and COMPLETELY missed what Appalachian said.

I don't know if YOU, personally, missed anything. But many people missed the fact that Appalachian clearly stated doctors have to be PAID too.
