Paul Ryan said, “The guy is from Argentina, they haven’t had real capitalism in Argentina,”(referring to the pope as “the guy” is a nice folksy touch.) “They have crony capitalism in Argentina. They don’t have a true free enterprise system.”

Friends say the man who once worshipped Ayn Rand now takes Pope Francis as his moral role model. Except he can’t help treating his new role model with arrogance and contempt.

Ryan is one of the biggest hypocrites in government. He's the GUY that decried the stimulus and then secretly begged for his piece of the pie. The GUY that had his education funded via survivor benefits from S.S. but wants to privatize the system to screw anyone else that comes after. The Ayn Rand worshipping GUY that would not recognize an actual Christ-like value if it bit him on his a$$.

1) Once the stimulus passed he had a moral and ethical obligation to try and ensure his constituents received a share of the funds.

2) In a privatized SS system, he would have likely inherited some savings.

There ia a reason countries abandon capitalism, and it usually has to do with supporting a very poor population. Paul Ryan could learn something from those examples.

So now the left is defending the Pope? Will they defend the Pope when he stands against abortion? I doubt it.
Who is the Pope to the USA? To me he is just a guy who wears a very expensive robe.

To you he is just a guy wearing a robe so I can assume you aren't Christian. The Catholic church has always been against abortion so this is nothing new. What you don't seem to understand is that many on the left are Christians.

He had a moral and ethical obigation to admit that his consituents needed the funds before he made a a show of just being anti-stimulus because Obama happened to be in the White House at the time.

No, he was against the stimulus. He is allowed to view something as being bad for the country. However, if money is going to be doled out and that is 100% for certain every congressperson should be trying to get some for his or her district even if they oppose the spending.
