I knew we were entering a mini Ice Age but it seems Hell has frozen over! I predict CNN will fire him or put him on the graveyard shift, poor devil.

The First Step Act for prison reform:

“Look, this is a Christmas miracle,” Jones began. “You have, for the first time in more than a generation, both parties coming together to do something for the people at the bottom. There’s no big Super PAC. You’re not getting campaign donations. This was the right thing to do and what it means is that people can earn their way home sooner by getting themselves job-ready, transforming themselves, there’s going to be programs so that people who are locked up have an incentive and a reason to work hard and come home better and not bitter.”

Watch short CNN video. Van is so happy he referred to himself as 'punch drunk.'

President Trump is the only President who could have done away with the Clinton era draconian sentencing laws.

Likewise, he's also the only President who can deliver:

~A comprehensive infrastructure bill
~A total reform of healthcare
~A reform of drug policy

If only the Democrats would recognize this and grow up a bit. But, they're too set on making sure their pro-illegal immigration agenda pushes full force ahead.

So you’re actually admitting that it’s the Democrats who have to help Republican presidents pass reforms because Republicans would never work with and allow a Democratic president achieve that type of legislative victory?

It was the right thing to do. In the rare moments that something like that happens why can't we simply leave it at that?

I also noticed that Van Jones was in the crowd in apparent support of Trump's recent 'opportunity zone' EO, intended to help deprived minority areas, and supported by Tim Scott, Ben Carson, several black pastors, and BET founder (and Hillary donor) Robert Johnson.

Someone needs to get to Van Jones and do an intervention, pronto!

Doing the right thing is always good, even if you did it for the wrong reason.

Actually the mandatory sentencing laws trace back to Speaker Tip O'Neil (D, MA), who responded to demands of constituents to 'do something,' following the cocaine-OD death of basketball player Len Bias, who had been drafted by the Boston Celtics.

Then before that, the grand-daddy of such laws was the Harrison Act of 1914, signed into law by Woodrow Wilson (D, NJ) to combat the threat of drug-fueled super-predator black males who were seen as endangering innocent white females.

No biggie. That's not the first time that Jones has complimented Crooked Trump.

No, there are many on both sides who want these issues resolved, including many Trump voters who do not fall on either side. You are still buying into the official dichotomy of left/right, while in reality we are in a new reality of outsider/insider.

Thank Corey Booker. Trump meeting with Kanye and signing a bill is not terribly impressive.
