From a legal perspective, the wedding didn't have enough components to fulfill the law. My guess is that the rest of the actual service was completed prior to what happened in the video.

Which components to fulfill the law are you referring to? And yes, it would be pretty cool having Queen Latifah signing my wedding license.

I have a confession - I have no idea who Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are (is?), or Mary Lambert (I am familiar with Madonna and Queen Latifah, though ), and I'm not into awards shows, but that video was very cool.
It almost brought tears to my eyes watching it; no wonder there were so many in the audience (and among the couples themselves) who were crying.
Thanks for posting it; I very well may have missed it otherwise. Well worth watching.
