The Data Brokers: Selling your personal information - CBS News

People should be just as outraged over this just like they were over the NSA. I hope you enjoy it and hopefully we can get a good discussion over it

Been going on for a while, how do you think sales marketing is done. Its really really messed up knowing that companies track your every move , purchases, and then sell your information. They are what you would call a " lead " generator almost. Its more in depth , its kind like a big mind **** .

On this forum, you'll only see outrage when one of the cons figures out a way to blame it on Obama.

Come to think of it, given the massive and awesome power they grant to him daily, in order to blame him for rain falling, nighttime arriving and the Yankees losing to the Red Sox, we'll probably get some truly entertaining theories on this now that you've brought it up!

Should I be as upset over this as I am over unconstitutional actions of the government? No.

Only took 4 posts for someone to make this about Obama.

Default Prism(Survellance Program)

PRISM is a "Special Source Operation" in the tradition of NSA's intelligence alliances with as many as 100 trusted U.S. companies since the 1970s.[1] A prior program, the Terrorist Surveillance Program,[26][27] was implemented in the wake of the September 11 attacks under the George W. Bush Administration but was widely criticized and challenged as illegal, because it did not include warrants obtained from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.[27][28][29][30][31] PRISM was authorized by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.[15] PRISM was enabled under President Bush by the Protect America Act of 2007 and by the FISA Amendments Act of 2008, which immunizes private companies from legal action when they cooperate with U.S. government agencies in intelligence collection. In 2012 the act was renewed by Congress under President Obama for an additional five years, through December 2017.[2][32][33] According to The Register, the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 "specifically authorizes intelligence agencies to monitor the phone, email, and other communications of U.S. citizens for up to a week without obtaining a warrant" when one of the parties is outside the U.S.[32]

Yes....it and shows how weak and pathetic people truly are.

They waved "reward" cards in your faces, and you all collapsed like wet noodles.

What excellent proof that Pure Democracy would be a total failure.

Satisfied with your "rewards?"

Good...maybe people will eventually learn that absolutely nothing is free.....everything comes with a price.

I love Poetic Justice...
