When a dusting of snow turned into a snowstorm, an Alabama Chick-fil-A took food to a few hundred stranded motorists on the highway, no charge, and then opened it's closed doors so they could stay there overnight. In the morning, they gave them breakfast. Free.
"Some of the drivers had been stuck in their cars for nearly seven hours without any food or water. So the staff of the Chick-fil-A (they had attempted to go home earlier but returned to the fast food restaurant) decided to lend a helping hand. “We cooked several hundred sandwiches and stood out on both sides of 280 and handed out the sandwiches to anyone we could get to – as long as we had food to give out.”
Since this company took a lot of heat in this forum, I thought I'd post this here. Anything like this ever happen in your city/town?

I love Chick Filet. The service is outstanding. They bring your food to the table. The restaurants I've been to are very clean. Their food is healthy and delicious. They are community minded. They are closed on Sunday to honor God. Now this act of humanity.
Well, to be fair it was not the company itself...it was a single store whose management (and employees) decided to do so. They should be commended for their actions.
The people who gave the money to those who wish to limit the civil rights of homosexuals were corporate management. If the store management agrees or not is not stated, nor should it impact the expression of how people feel about what the corporate office has done. They have the free speech and choice to say and do what they please, as well as other people have that protected as well.

Good for them. they decided to do something good for those in need.
I could say more, but while you tried to make this political, i will shy away from it.
Did they inquire about the proclivities of those needing food before they gave it out? hmmm... I didn't think so. And did certain recipients refuse, although hungry, to accept the food? I'd bet the answer to that is also no.
How many free meals have the "Boycott-Chick-Fil-A" people given out to hungry, stranded folks in this time of need?
I boycotted chick fil-a and i can say i have handed give out hundreds of plates to people who needed a meal doing my volunteer work with various organization. I have also donated food to Ronald McDonald House.
so if you really want to play that game, you have lost... and I am only one person.

So people are not allowed to decide where they eat and/or spend money at?
One Million Moms and other groups boycott many companies that support gay rights, where is your condemnation of their boycotts?
