I was watching Fox News a little while ago. An anti-Mitch McConnell ad came on describing him as a RINO, etc. Why is the far right wasting money like this? The guy who said the most important thing was making Obama a one-term president is really some ultra-liberal arch enemy? Will the far right ever learn?

Victory? Victory you say? Not victory. The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun the GOP wars have.

This was for McConnell's Republican Primary challenge from the right, not for the General. The Kentucky Primary is May 20th.

Both sides have done it, but it is more common with the GOP than the Democrats, especially in recent years.

Mitch is facing a serious tea party challenger at a time when the Dem challenger is polling almost even with him. The primary is going to end up killing whomever faces the Dem it looks like.

Thanks tea party!

Matt Bevin is running in Kentucky's 2014 Senate election in the Republican primary for the seat currently held by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, a five-term incumbent. He claims he is running because he does not believe that McConnell is conservative enough.[9] Bevin has been endorsed by the conservative Madison Project,[10] the Senate Conservative Fund,[11] and conservative talk radio host Mark Levin and entrepreneur Glenn Beck.[12][13]
