Wonder what the break down so far is? I know in NC Hagan is losing to ALL republican candidates,Arkansas has the republican up 5,Louisiana has the democrat up by 1,Michigan the republican is up by 3,Montana has republican up BIG 17 and 15 depending on the democrat,so that right there is 4 republican pick ups. Any other possible pick ups for republicans? At the very least make it even harder for democrats to pass stuff.Add South Dakota to that. that makes 5 pretty good for sure pick ups for republicans with another possible one in Louisiana.
OMG, it is only mid Feb, primaries haven't been held, it is a little to soon to be paying much attention to the polls, which, btw, are only as good as the day they are taken.
He is no maverick. His stunts are purely for his political future with his base. That's all he cares about. The rest of us can see right through him.
Natalie, I totally disagree with you: I think he is a maverick. Yes, he cares about his political future, good for him, but he also was raised in a family that hated Castro. Many of the old Cubans are extremely conservative. I am not saying I agree with him or even support him, but I do think he believes what he is preaching. You have to give him credit for that. Why do you think he doesn't care about what he is pushing? Is it because you don't like him or because you don't believe any Republican can believe what the say? I think Rand Paul is another maverick.

Maverick? Or just a real Conservative, not just playing one on TV.
If one party has the house and senate, they don't need the President.
As soon as the veto is issued, they can pass it on a second vote and it becomes law, without it even going to the Presidents desk.
Sadly, not true, both houses would need a 2/3 vote to override.
