The National Science Foundation for one.

A new survey by the National Science Foundation showed nearly half of all Americans say astrology is either 'very' or 'sort of' scientific. Younger respondents, in particular, were the least likely to regard astrology as unscientific, with 58% of 18 to 24 years olds saying that astrology is scientific (PDF).

By contrast, 92 percent of the Chinese public think horoscopes are a bunch of baloney.

American attitudes about science are moving in the wrong direction. Skepticism of astrology hit an all-time high in 2004, when 66 percent of Americans said astrology was complete nonsense.

It makes sense now why those young Obama voters believed in "free" healthcare, global warming, and moronic slogans like "Hope and Change".

Well, there is nothing in the actual report that suggests a correlation as you suggest.

I shall make my own unsupported generalization based on personal beliefs: liberals tend to be more highly educated than conservatives. Said study, in the part about astrology, states:

Respondents with more years of formal education and
higher income were less likely to see astrology as scientific.
For example, in 2012, 72% of those with graduate degrees
indicated that astrology is “not at all scientific,” compared
with 34% of those who did not graduate from high school.
Between 2010 and 2012, responses to the astrology question
changed more among Americans with less education
and factual knowledge than among other Americans. For
example, in 2010, 79% of those high in factual knowledge
said astrology was “not at all scientific,” which was only
5% more than the 74% who gave this response in 2012. In
contrast, 52% of those with the lowest factual knowledge
said astrology was unscientific in 2010 compared with 35%
in 2012, which is a 17% change.

By the by, here is a link to the actual study, so one may read it themselves, and not rely upon what a third party said about the study:

Despite liberal snarkiness about low-education voters voting Republican, it’s long been the case that the least-educated voters lean Democratic and voters with college degrees lean Republican, though voters with graduate degrees lean Democratic.

In 2012, Obama won voters without a high school education by a 64-35 margin and voters with graduate degrees 55-42, while Romney narrowly won four-year college graduates.

Oh, by the way, I had already linked the PDF of the entire National Science Foundation study in my original post.

All you have to do is look at past several elections to realize the American people aren't fit to vote much less run this country themselves.

You can thank those wonderful libs and progressives for the dumbing down of this country. I just sit back and watch the idiocy come alive when young people speak, especially when it comes to politics and religion.

Religion is idiocy. It is the foundation for the 'dumbing down.'

I have noticed a lot of young people talk about their horoscope signs as though it were facts. Its weird. Then again younger people do tend to be more new age spiritual. They believe in karma, horoscope, negative and positive vibes. They love BS like The Secret and law of attraction stuff.

RINOs are mostly college-educated, but I have never met a tea party assclown Republican who had been anywhere near a university except to watch a football game.
