Rand Paul: Without change, GOP will "not win again in my lifetime" - CBS News

I would have to agree. If the GOP would stop trying to legislate Morality and making statements that Evolution is straight from the pits of hell, they could have a chance with the moderates, and giving them a chance with taking the presidency. Plus with the GOP infighting, its going to be a long haul for 2016

I agree and I'm far right. I want to hear about lower taxes, smaller government, domestic energy, reduced small business regulations.

The GOP is not going to change...So Paul is basically saying I can't win.

Most Americans dont make over 200K a year or own a small business. If those are your concerns lower taxes and SB regulations [smaller government is a buzz phrase]...then those are not the same concerns of most Americans.

Maybe not, but Rand Paul stands for certain ideals that even the left and the right should be able to agree on. Ending the war on drugs and ending minimum sentencing laws for drug crimes (both which affect minorities dis-proportionally) as well as ending the governments spying of US citizens and bringing our troops home and stop being world police....just for starters

You must be very clueless huh ? What do you think middle class is ? You think making 200k a year is rich? LOL what planet are you on. What do you think most of those police and fire chiefs make? or all those principles in schools make? I know teachers that make over 100k , many regular police offers that make 100k , and MANY middle class people that make over 100k close to 200k.

A lot of small business owners are middle class people as well.

By the way this country needs the Tea party , the left and right have gone off the grid with their old stupid extreme ideas that are ****.

Really? I would LOVE to be making $200G & believe me, I'd think of myself as rich. You know what I could do w/that kind of salary? A lot. I don't know any teachers who make over $100G & I don't know any cops who make over $100G. I guess you scoff at making $200G, huh?

200k a year is not rich by any means , you must forget after taxes and expenses how much you are left with. Well I dunno where you live but here in NJ and the NY area people make that.

While I can agree that 200K doesn't make one "rich," it still does not negate Chimuelojones' point that most Americans don't earn that much and therefore aren't concerned about lowering taxes on top wage earners or small business regulations.

You said you wanted lower taxes. The large percetage of people paying new taxes are those making over 200K.

Fire chiefs
Police chiefs
school principals

How many workers do each of these three positions have working under them not making 200k?

You can't even extrapolate information from your example.
