I wouldn't work with anyone who was fried. As I said, though, if someone wants to use marijuana on their own time, that's their business.
As for working with me, no worries. I'm self employed as a freelancer, and quite honestly if I stopped getting work tomorrow I'd still have enough residual income that I wouldn't bother going back to the 9-5 world any time in the near future.
There is a time and place for everything. One should not be under the influence of any intoxicating substances while conducting business. Unless of course you're in the bar industry, or entertainment industry. When I was a DJ, I wasn't above having 2-3 beers prior to starting the night. Usually I'd start spinning at 9PM, and be done by just after 2AM. By 11PM at the latest I would usually be drinking water the rest of the night, and then had the opportunity to eat while people were shuffling out, and while I was waiting to get paid at the end of the night. I never got trashed on my nights working at the club, because A) who wants an obnoxious drunk DJ B) I was into the art form of DJing in matching beats, and wanted to keep my flow from song to song smooth, and C) I still had to drive home... a commute that was sometimes 30 miles or more. At my 8-5 job, working in sales.... NEVER.
You might think that this should have been obvious, that you'd have to be crazy to understimate the demand, but I suspect what this really means is that more people than expected have decided to go the legal route instead of buying from the guy in the next dorm.
Oh balls. Our prisons are filled with white, black, brown and yellow people. Know what they have in common? They got caught committing crimes. Quite the concept isn't it?
I agree with you though on the legalization of pot, as well as other "illicit" drugs. If people want to spend their time stoned, it's not the taxpayers responsibility to straighten them out.
Racial minorities are not more criminal than Whites; it's just there is a higher police presence in their neighborhoods. A White kid in a middle-class suburb who smokes weed has less chance of getting caught by the police than a Black teen in a major city.

Let's wait and see what happens when all of these new "stoners" become unemployable because they cannot pass a drug test.
you are kidding right so all those people that showed up to buy legal pot just started smoking the week before?? ya right.. get a clue!!!! 10s of millions of people smoke pot in the usa long before the advent of medical marijuana dispensaries or retail pot stores popped up..
