Your source is the one doing drugs. No, Wall Streeters don't do a "lot of crack" or even a little crack. Most Wall Streeters are family folk trying to raise kids while juggling the incredible commuting fees the MTA has imposed on them while being buried under by NYS taxes.

Too many of you watch a movie and think it's real life down there.

Yeah, it does not apply to every employee in Financial Services.

I fit in to that category you mention :

Yes it was unfair to make a blanket generalization.

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure some have done it and it might have been more prevalent in the 80's, but at least from what you guys say, it wasn't the norm.

They still do blow and other drugs. As well as other sects of corporate America I've worked in. In this country its ok for the wealthy to do drugs, just not the poor.

I'd agree with you abour prescription meds just because they are a problem in all sects of our society.

The wealthy Country clubs have many "prescription" pill poppers as well as illicit drug users.

The desperate housewives are so bored with their vapid country club lives they have nothing else but to get high. Not all - but a good number.

I live in a town near this lifestyle and my spouse works in the hospital servicing these people, we see it everyday.

I hope they know how to get a good nights sleep because that would be tiring after a while.
Crack/meth is poor people's drug.

Cocaine is what you want.

Yep yep.

The wealthy do it mostly with impunity and the poor are demonized and prosecuted for it.

What we need to do is stop the stupid War and start treating our addiction problem. Some substances are just a filler to escape from deeper issues. In fact, that's often the case with addicts.

To be fair, you don't have to put your money in their hands. And no one seems to complain when Wall St makes them money. (I don't work on Wall St)
