I think the school overstepped its boundaries. Unless there is bullying or illegal activity going on, schools shouldn't be involved in what students are doing outside of school grounds.

Too bad this school did not give the 6th grader's parents a heads up instead of taking it upon themselves to pursue.

Other media reports that the kid's mom decided to sue because her precious one was embarrassed. Guess that was more important than her kid having sexually explicit convos on FB.

So now its ok to violate an individuals rights, because a school says so..

Doesnt matter what she said as long as she didnt violate the law.
