must have been climate change caused by humans in 1912. So many cars and factories and airplanes :-)

The polar vortex causing cold, that is just weather.

However, back-to-back El Nino's causing warm temps in 1997-1998, and then again in 2010-2011, now those are not "just weather," they are proof of man-made climate change.

I guess I should stop driving my well maintained 15 year old BMW V8 that I thoroughly enjoy on my highway commute to work.

It is not about global warming...it is about climate destruction and disruption. Yes the winter was cold...but look out...the up coming summer will be pure suffering....extreme weather is a problem and it has been stimulated into action by the activity of billions of humans .....who excrete their waste into the air.

That's because the GW deniers equate Weather with Climate. But to understand the difference, one must believe in science and we know how the right feels about that. So we will continue to get these knee jerk reactions to cold weather.

Nope, but governments will continue to push for harsher taxes on less efficient vehicles. Rightfully so, I might add.

tinfoil hat time

Everyone knows we never have varying weather from day to day or year to year, every March 12th is exactly the same every year, that was until...... humans came along. now March can "come in like a lion and out like a lamb", or "in like a lamb and out like a lion." <shudder>

And of course, CO2 is causing it all.

Yup, it's right there in the US Constitution, government mandating conservation over safety.

Gallons of fuel saved per mile, trumps the number of lives saved per mile.

I've already made your case, an El Nino is proof that climate change is caused by human-induced CO2, and the polar vortex is simply a natural weather phenomenon.

Never mind that scientists still do not know how or what determines the formation of an El Nino or La Ninia, and do not understand the complexities of the Arctic Ocean.

The constitution is irrelevant to this discussion.

A 200 year old document doesn't address the societal concerns we face today.
