What it comes down to is we need less military and more efficient transportation options so the lower income class people can live without a car. That should be priority #1.

You're welcome.

We all know that conservos are just always looking out for corporate interests. Big oil especially.

That is a very good point. While many politicians talk out of both sides of their mouths, Obama seems to have achieved a special place in the annuals of presidential history. Rarely has a critic of any president come into office and done so many of the exact same things he was critical of.

The worst part is not him doing so, but the koolaid drinkers who acted like Bush was the devil, yet give Obama a pass for doing the same thing.

Knowing they lie and over-promise, I tend to ignore what any one politicians says from moment to moment and just look at what they try to actually get done.
Wow, so you think his actions in Lybia were managed well?
He did to Gaddafi what Bush did to Hussein, and both resulted in the same problem. Sure both were tyrants, but at least they helped to control the lunatic extremists within their own countries.

The media will never spin it this way, but what happened in Benghazi is a direct result of Obama destabilizing Lybia. With Gaddafi still in power, our guys would never have been killed.
Heck he threw the leader of Egypt (Mubarak) under the bus, and now there is chaos there as well. If Bush had done it, the news media would be playing up every single Christian killed. However, as it stands now, you only hear about it on a station like Fox or reading a non liberal news story.

As to the over promise comment you made, it must be easier for you to justify it if you generally support Obama. However rest assured he has been one of the worst presidents in my lifetime. This coming from someone who had plenty to criticize Bush for.
Lastly, I am not naive nor expect that presidential candidates live up to all of their promises. However I do expect they compromise for the sake of the country, regardless of their personal ideological positions.
Two prime examples of recent leadership in our country were Clinton & Reagan. Both faced opposition from Congress, yet Clinton worked with Gingrich, and Reagan worked with O'Neal to move the country forward.
With Obama, his "Forward" campaign slogan is nothing more than a word coming from an empty suit.

It's sad, really, that the education system - or perhaps just people's lack of personal responsibility to educate themselves - has failed so severely.

It's one thing not to know something - there's plenty all of us don't know. It's another altogether to formulate a hardened opinion based on a complete lack of understanding about a topic.
When oil went to $150 it had very little to do with the global commodity markets. It had nearly everything to do with the financial markets.

I find it interesting how many will argue that the answer to the growing inequality is to see that the lower classes aren't able to have what the upper classes have.

That we need to herd all the poor people and pack them into big cities. It goes to show it's not about income inequality, it's about a mad desire to control people.

You write that as the national average is close to $4/gallon and has been over $3/gallon for 4 years?

While the head of the FDA is Mr. Monsanto?

While Occupy Wallstreet turns out to really be Wallstreet occupying the administration?

Oh, and the signature piece of legislation, Obamacare, was written by the health insurers.

It's easy to get away with it though when there is a 2 party system and the sheep just stick to their herd.

1. You are correct. There are many right-wing koolaiders.

2. Who cares what the radical left thinks? You'll still do exactly what you are told and vote for the "good guys" just like the folks right-wingers.

That's why you see all the things I pointed out a few posts prior....why follow through on promises made to people whom will vote for you no matter what.
