Yeah, I don't think people understand this. I also went to a school like Georgetown Day School. The highest individual GPA in our class was a 3.8. We had teachers that give out 1 or 2 A's a year and we did not use a weighted GPA (4.0 is the highest possible).
I have no idea if Gtown Day School handicaps their GPA in the same way (in this inflated 5.0 world), but Colleges understand that when they draw from these schools, they are drawing from a pool of students that are extremely well prepared to succeed in a college environment.

That makes sense then. I would assume, given that, they had high SAT scores as well, which would be necessary for admission to an Ivy League school.
But I ain't about to bust my rump in ANY weather for 18 an hour. No way.
