While I was in college I could saw whatever I damn well pleased. I might and was heavily criticized for some of my more outlandish statements. We called that debate. In the classroom I had the annoying habit of answering rhetorical questions with plausible alternatives. That did not gain me any favor with some of the more fixed in their ways professors. I accepted that as part of annoyingly making the point that there are always more was to accomplish something than the fait accompli presented.
I believe, but do not know if it is reality but I hope so, that anyone can say whatever in hell comes to mind in a free and open country. I also believe a person is responsible for the effects of their "free" speech. If I call out for reinstating chattel slavery at an NFL conference I should expect to get my ass kicked into next Wednesday. If I try and pass out political propaganda of any kind by blocking public entrance to a building I am effectively assaulting all the people I block because the blocking implies that violence will be used to enforce the blockade. This applies to libraries, abortion clinics and military recruitment offices with equal effect.
Yes, speak freely but be responsible for what you say.
People don't see this happening in grade schools? I sure saw it when my youngest was in, he sat in detention a lot for his views. Wasn't he got in trouble for them, but when they could pin something on him he got detention. It was his liberal young teachers, who refused to see any child veering toward the right could have a decent debate, while most the students sat with no opinion.
Will the government provide money to students to attend schools that ignore the Constitutional rights of those who are applying?
No, I doubt it. Loan money is given to a student that is enrolled in a college, but a college that won't allow in minorities would be violating a much bigger law and probably wouldn't be able to open their doors for any student due to the fact that they would be shut down.
Basically what we got here is a strawman argument. Do you have any examples of colleges in recent history that doesn't allow minorities in this country?
No, I doubt it. Loan money is given to a student that is enrolled in a college, but a college that won't allow in minorities would be violating a much bigger law and probably wouldn't be able to open their doors for any student due to the fact that they would be shut down.
You would have done yourself a favor by just letting this die. Some can't help it though I suppose.
You keep bringing up your strawman argument. So which college is denying minorities enrollment?
Many colleges are denying qualified Asians enrollment.
College entrance exams also discriminate against the minority of Americans who are mentally handicapped.
