Seriously liberals and conservatives make a big deal about 3.4% of the population. Just let them get married so we can deal with more pressing issues than whether two dudes can marry. i'm honestly tired of hearing about it.

I prefer we remove government from marriage. Do you really need its approval for your relationships?

Marriage has a legal definition and in having such power, it affects; healthcare, taxes, insurance, childcare and many other areas.

Fine with me, but then the militant gays will move on to making more demands. They won't be satisfied until everyone thinks as they do on any social issue.

This does bring up issues involving inheritance and insurance.

A spouse can be covered by a workers insurance. But I go along with the legalize it a move on.

I wouldn't be surprised if people soon demanded marrying an animal/house pet, their own parents' or siblings....

This is a matter for the individual states and territories of the Union to decide on their own. If California wants to legalize gay marriage then good for them, but Alabama wants to keep marriage defined as a union between a man and a woman then so be it. We have a little thing called state sovereignty.

I personally don't care either way. There are much more pressing issues at the moment that override social issues.

What about polygamy, marriage between close relatives, marriage of children, etc.?

They have all been more acceptable throughout history and cultures long before homosexual marriage.
