Many of the kids around here are going to summer school for advanced placement classes and don't have time to work. Others work the orchards or other summer jobs.

Silents and boomers depending on age would have been parents of Gen Xers. If my parents had my brother three/four years earlier, he would have been a Gen Xer born of early boomers. Alas my boomer parents couldn't have kids for nearly the first nine years of their marriage.
