St. Louis ObamaCare Contractor Pays Employees To Do Nothing

“The main thing is that the data entry side does not have hardly any work to do. They’re told to sit at their computers and hit the refresh button every ten minutes. No more than every ten minutes. They’re monitored. To hopefully look for an application. They’re [sic] goals are set to process two applications per month and some people are not even able to do that.”

This is like Brewster's Millions. Obama has eight years to rack up as much debt as possible.

Something doesn't pass the smell test. Why would they hire people and then tell them not to work?

The article is from a right wing rag. I would think that the company would get paid on each application taken. I smell a Republican rat in this.

Don't you know how it works?

People are hired in order to receive money from the government. Productivity does not matter.

From the CBS article...

CMS told KMOV, "Serco is committed to making sure federal funds are spent appropriately, and the number of Serco staff is reviewed on a regular basis."

The number of staff is reviewed - not productivity.

"right wing rag" - I guess when your side does this regularly, you expect that everyone does it.
