No they won't. I can't find the law right now but I remember that in South Carolina, a person or that person's family cannot sue for civil liability if that person was injured and/or killed during the commission of a crime.

I wonder if NC has a law like that, too. They certainly should - every state should.

No argument from me on that. I can't imagine why any state allows it to happen. I somewhat understand if it was simply an oversight at one time but there have been enough cases of criminals and/or their families doing this, that oversight is no longer an excuse.

I agree that there should be more training as well as more stipulations involved for a concealed Carry permit, but that was a justifiable shooting. That family should be more concerned with why this young man was committing such a despicable crime, than trying to go after someone that defended himself as well as the lives of several others that were being threatened at gunpoint.

How would any of those have prevented Dante Williams from holding up that store?

You know why you need a CCL?

Because CC has been illegal since this nation was found.
It is a permit for a fee for you to be legal with a law that says it is illegal.

Now read the 2nd amendment and no where does it say, and conceal carry arms.
It says the right to own(have), & bear(open carry) arms.

It also says I have the right to form a militia, or be a part of a militia.

People, is a very powerful word in contract law, as is infringed.

In order to have a concealed carry permit in that state, the shooter had a 8 hour training course, pass a written exam and a live fire test. Seems reasonable to me.

What are they complaining about? Seriously. Your son was robbing a waffle house with a gun. He got shot. Thats how it goes. Be happy you didnt get billed for the ammo-ammo is expensive!
