Let's wait and see. I'd like to see automation stocking shelves and dealing with older customers. Lol

And with that come less workers.

Big box stores with 8-10 self checkouts only need 1 person to watch over them.
That's 7-10 jobs eliminated.

I personally don't believe in automation taking over in ff world because of the human factor: many people actually like to have a human contact or can't deal with technology
Are those people willing to pay more for it? Cause thats the reality.

Here's the new reality of making demands when you're not in a position to make them...

I am not sure it is, grey war. Don't get me wrong, I am in it and have nothing personal against computers and automation however some things are not that easy to automate or it's not really cost effective.
I have seen it before, about 20 years ago everybody thought that call centers are gone and Voice Recognition will do the job of customer service agents. Millions were spent on development and implementation only to find out that many people will press zero until they reach a "live agent". There was a real backlash against companies who moved towards Voice Recognition Systems and many companies found out that to keep customers they still have to man the lines. Similarly, the FF companies have been trial testing automation for quite a while and still they don't seem to provide promised savings where implemented.

I particularly don't see the demographic that frequents the ff joints embracing automation as much as expected. I am being remind of it every time I help an elderly person use one of the automated parking machines.

Also, were just talking about cashiers in ff restaurants as all other functions would be hard to automate and I think both ff employees and hairdressers are safe for now despite all the hoopla about automation.

Yeah, I can only imagine the long lines at restaurants and millions in lost revenue...
If it was easy, it would have happened already...

So then what difference does it make? If they.were gonna do it anyway.

And why are you so giddy about it? You own stock in Panera?

Indeed.
Panera is like a cafeteria anyway, yet OP takes glee in others misfortunes. Truly the American way. How patriotic.
