The LAT is reporting that the City of Irwindale has dropped its complaint against the Sriacha hot sauce plant, clearing the way for the owner to keep his operation in Southern California.

The dispute between the company and the city, over noxious fumes, threatened to force owner and founder, David Tran, to uproot his plant. Tran was recently courted by a delegation of Texas lawmakers, eager to put another notch on the grips of their shoot in' irons.

The crisis was resolved after an intervention by Gov Brown's Office of Business and the Economy, which sent a team to tour the plant, then mediate between the owner, and city officials:

Sriracha truce brokered with help of Gov. Jerry Brown's office*-*Los Angeles Times

Sorry Texas- we get to keep our hot sauce!

It is Gov Brown's fiscal savvy, and a Democratic super-majority in the state assembly and senate, that is leading California to a new Age of Prosperity.

Gov Brown leads his likely GOP challenger, gun law violator and arch-conservative Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, by a whopping FORTY POINTS in a recent poll.

They had a lawsuit on the guy declaring his factory a public nuisance ?
No wonder he was ready to leave.

And now they dropped the lawsuit and aren't answering the phone.
What about the smell ?

Even before the lawsuit the plant owner said he wasn't leaving, but might expand elsewhere. As for the smell, at a guess theres going to be work to mitigate it.

Much ado about nothing.

It has more to do with the spicy peppers used to make the delicious hot sauce.

Just a renegotiation of their kickbacks with a shakedown.

Happens across the nation on a daily basis.

Nothing worth talking about.
