I do love how Conservatives/Republicans like to tell us Liberals what we believe in.

I also find it funny that you choose to believe you know what the Founding Fathers would have wanted in 2014.

Since the Founding Fathers died, we have quadrupled the size of this nation, let women and black people vote, gone to space, Split the atom, explored the oceans, eliminated diseases.

If the Founding Fathers were alive, they would have a heart attack from simply seeing a mechanical pencil.

Liberals tell Conservatives what they believe in all the time. What's the difference?

As for the founding fathers, do you honestly think that some of the greatest thinkers of their time didn't believe that the world would change? They, themselves, were responsible for some of the greatest social change in history. There is a reason that they wrote the Constitution so that it could be changed when necessary.

Liberals also under Carter were leaders of cruise missile for national defense

Under open minded LBJ Govt NASA program an American crew made first landing on the moon...one small step for a man, one giant leap for Liberal
I can't tell if you're serious with this garbage or if this is a joke. You sound like a member of some cult. I can picture you sitting in an airport terminal chanting the praises of Hare Krishna. If this wasn't a joke, you really need to get some help. It isn't healthy to treat liberal politics like some divine religious revelation. Seriously, go read a history book and get some perspective.

#3 It was LBJ that blocked the Eisenhower 1957 Civil Rights Act from having any teeth. Otherwise we would all be praising the 1957 Civil Rights Act. Yes, LBJ later atoned for it, but LBJ himself delayed voting rights for blacks by 8 years.

#4 JFK is arguably a conservative and certainly less liberal than Nixon...JFK got himself into the Cuban Missile crisis. You are applauding him for cleaning up his own mess.

#5 It was Bush Senior that pushed the act through.

You are mistaken, they landed on the moon under Nixon, the idea was hatched under Eisenhower, JFK made that idea public and a national priority and then much of the work went on under LBJ.

5) Liberals protected the rights of Americans with Disabilities.

"'The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) is a law that was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1990. It was signed into law on July 26, 1990, by President George H. W. Bush, and later amended with changes effective January 1, 2009."

'President Richard Nixon, along with millions of others, watches as two American astronauts walk on the moon. Later that evening, Nixon recorded succinctly in his diary "the President held an interplanetary conversation with Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin on the Moon."

It was LBJ who helped pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964 & Voting Rights Act of 1965:

Civil Rights Act of 1957 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
After Kennedy's assassination, President Lyndon B. Johnson helped secure passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, making racial discrimination and segregation illegal,[12] and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which abolished the poll tax and other means of keeping blacks and poor people from registering to vote and voting, established record-keeping and oversight, and provided for federal enforcement in areas with documented patterns of discrimination.

The country has went so far right in the past thirty years that if anything the "liberals" of today are, for the most part, closer to Eisenhower Republicans than LBJ. The Republicans, on the other hand, have taken fringe far rights groups like
the John Birch Society and made its philosophy part of its platform.

Eisenhower would be considered a RINO. Look at the Mississippi election, Cochran is already far to the right, but not far enough, and he is probably going to be replaced by a Tea Party fanatic who thinks compromise is a dirty word. More deadlock coming to Congress.
