I don't think there's a lot of movement on this at the grass root level.
More than half of people support SSM now, and that number continues to rise. So yes, people are changing their minds.

The CDC notes that while homosexual men make up only a very small percentage of the male population (4%), MSM account for over three-quarters of all new HIV infections, and nearly two-thirds (63 percent) of all new infections in 2010 (29,800)."

You sound like you have some really sad gay friends. Have you done the Christian thing and tried to help them?

We're not talking about HIV/AIDS. We're talking about marriage.

I wonder if Gov. Walker had a discussion with two other Republican governors: Chris Christie of New Jersey and Tom Corbett of Pennsylvania who also backed away from taking any kind of stand or action against legalized same sex marriage.

And Jews are the epicenter of a number of diseases such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease and Tay-Sachs Disease, so by your reasoning Jews do not deserve equal rights.

African-Americans are at greater risk for heart disease, type 2 Diabetes, stroke, etc. and it is a fact they do not, typically, have as long a life-span of whites or Asians.

So what is your point, besides trying to smear and defame all members of the LGBT Community?

News flash: Gays and Lesbians participate in all facets of society and most are in good health. They are doctors, congressmen, federal judges, cops, lawyers, retail clerks, university professors, serve in all branches of the military, appointed to be US Ambassadors to foreign countries, have won gold medals for the US at the Olympics, were elected to be mayors of major cities, etc., etc., ad infinitum.

Gay folks are citizens of the US. They vote and pay taxes. They deserve nothing less than full equality and civil rights.

That all depends on what your goals are and what you are willing to accept as consequences, good or bad, for whatever actions you might take.

My suggestion is that instead of trying to redefine normal to include homosexuality, accept that being a homosexual means being outside the norm in most people's eyes.

Acceptance by others requires self-acceptance even if that means accepting yourself as odd.

Attempting to imitate heterosexuals by marrying and adopting babies expresses a lack of self-acceptance and a willingness to step on others in order to resolve personal issues.

I don't want to get married to imitate heterosexuals. I want to marry so that my husband and I have the legal protections and benefits provided by civil marriage law.

The point is that we shouldn't celebrate gay marriage, which sends the signal that gay sex is OK. Do jews celebrate the things you mention?

Most are in good health? Are you living under a rock?

Over 50% of homosexual college students will have HIV by the time they are 50 if the trend continues. Does that sound like "good health" to you? I hope not, unless you continue to deny facts & science.

An awful lot of *straight* men will have heart disease and/or diabetes by the time they are fifty, not to mention Hepatitis B. Does that mean we should label them as not being in 'good health' now?

A couple that was wed last Friday the day of the ruling ate a local Pizzeria afterwards to celebrate and after the meal the waitress brought the the receipt and the staff took care of and paid for their 54 dollar meal.

The couple posted this receipt on their FB page. http://www.thegailygrind.com/wp-cont.../original1.jpg

Also that day another act of kindness several Wisconsin police officers brought cake for the newlyweds.
