All of my fearless predictions (except one or two) have come true so far, so heads up:

With the debacle of the CR/debt ceiling gambit blowing up in their faces, coupled with the results this week from the elections in NJ and Virginia, the Jim DeMint- led TP is FINISHED as an element in national politics. The Republicans are SICK of watching yahoos lose winnable elections. The GOP establishment, with Wall Street's backing, will succeed in shoving the monster back into the lab. The operation will be bloody, but will be accomplished in time for the 2014 elections. The TP has outlived its usefulness, and is a liability for the GOP. It will be restricted to state and local races in backwards jurisdictions, until it finally fades away.

The good news: the nation will have two responsible parties again , with competing visions, but both believing in democracy and government.

The bad news: No more clown car presidential fields. MAN, those guys were hilarious!

The GOP presidential candidates in 2016 will be four or five successful current and former governors, who will have broad appeal, and give Clinton a real run for her money!

Tea Party RIP. You won't be missed.

No, the tea party and the GOP are going to double down. Nobody in the GOP paid heed to Bobby Jindal when he said:

“We’ve got to stop being the stupid party. It’s time for a new Republican Party that talks like adults.”

I'd hardly say the tea party is done looking at just the state house elections last mid term. Then of course look at the influence they had on recent events in congress. It took decades for liberals of the 60's to come close to what its done has a movements in just the last five years. The funny part is that many who are older were the same anti-government/ anti-war in the 60's as young people.

My prediction. Given the deacle of Obamacare just starting to blow up in the democrats faces, the Tea Party will be a major force behing yet another GOP resurgence in the 2014 midterms and the 2016 presidential elections.

the only ones anti-american are the fascist liberals

""Fascism is a system in which the government leaves nominal ownership of the means of production in the hands of private individuals but exercises control by means of regulatory legislation and reaps most of the profit by means of heavy taxation. In effect, fascism is simply a more subtle form of government ownership than is socialism."" Mussolini

Exactly.............they projected the Democrat to have 14 point victory in Virginia ....

It was a squeaker................Obamacare is the reason!! If the employer mandate had not been pushed out til 2014, more people would have lost their coverage and Virginia would have a GOP Governor.

This is gonna be ugly for the Dems...........

The roll out of the Affordable Health Care Act, which will continue into 2014, has given new life to the TEA Party.

"Fearless Prediction?" More like "Wishful Thinking."

The Democrats are responsible for the creation of the TEA Party, and the only way for the TEA Party to ultimately disappear is for the Democratic Party to disappear first. Had it not been for the completely irrational spending by the Democrat controlled Congress in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, there would be no "Ron Paul" TEA Party today.

The more Democrats continue to screw over Americans, the bigger the TEA Party will become.

Which demonstrates you don't comprehend what the movement called "TEA Party" was about and is about.

Americans, by nature, are not the kind to go and protest things. They don't naturally organize into political organizations to "get their way". Very much NOT. Because we, historically, had nobody forcing our hands. We lived as we wished, our governments did little to nothing to us, and so, it is NOT in our culture. Liberals (the loony left), however, HAS adopted the "organizing" aspect, and has been teaching and attempting it for many decades - longer than my half century of life.

There has always been an attitude of "if we just point out what's wrong" the population at large will respond. That is, we've always assumed that voters want independence, that being 'left alone' is motivation enough to stop voting for the nanny staters and the statists. Of course, we're a little big idealistic. We assume that people are not going to lie. And, it took me DECADES to reach the point where I finally had to admit that yes, there is an entire political ideology which justifies and uses "the lie" to advance its interests - not behind the scenes, not by being a little less than straightforward, but by bold, in-your-face-huge-ball-of-fire lies. And, we, the trusting folks (and I refer to the public at large) just figured "nobody would be that audacious". But Obama and the current left is.

Watching this, over the decades, I have wondered when people would become so incensed they acted. Everyone commenting on the right has said "that's the big trigger", and it would not be. Yet, we had passed the point where it should happen, and it had not.

Maybe it was just the sudden advancement, the "over reach" of the Democrats that stirred it. Maybe it really was Santelli and his rant on CNBC, maybe it was just a few folks willing to put on funny hats, fly Gadsden flags, and march on DC... I can't say, but what it did was galvanize MILLIONS to act. How the "TEA Party" name came is also haphazard and irrelevant. But what is NOT irrelevant, is that a large body of people who are conservative, but not political, have become so.

And they're not interested in half measures... just slowing things a little, or playing inside baseball in Washington DC. They're not amused at the antics of the political parties, nor are they tolerant of the nonsense people like you put out all the time.

Whatever you saw in the media (which was highly distorted) has little resemblance to what the TEA Party really is, which is mostly made up of middle class people, who are the ones who make the country work. And no matter WHAT it was that sparked them, the spark was overdue.

It has no leadership, it doesn't need one. It has no head, it doesn't need one. It's driven by common sense and rational analysis. Our governments are OUT OF CONTROL and behaving worse than teenagers with free pot, beer, and darkness. The idea that the federal government needs to spend 4 trillion dollars is beyond insanity, plain and simple. NOTHING the liberal nanny state has done has ANY "return" on the investment. It benefits only tiny constituencies, and demands everyone else pay for it.

This mass of body has an almost microscopic "visibility", which are a few folks who gather now and then and wave signs and gather at events. But they are NOT the "TEA Party". The invisible part, which is 95% of it, is the people you see around you, who have decided they will act, and they're not giving up, they're not going away, and no matter what you say or do, they don't just go off and hide when you call them names. After all, these people are the ones who make the country work. They don't just give up if something doesn't go their way... they keep identifying what works and what doesn't and keep going.

What they've seen, is that the GOP talks one thing, does another, and it does so because of the corruption of Washington DC. And so the TP people are working from both inside and outside the GOP, and the DC gang is terrified they may find themselves unemployed and irrelevant. They have perfected their party game, but it ways against people who played their game and their rules, and the TP doesn't play that game.

You can't attack it, you can't beat it, you can't defeat it, you cannot even SEE IT. It is the innate intelligent response to what the left has done, and it will NOT be "defeated" except by overwhelming violent force that kills millions - like the intellectual cleansings done by tyrants of recent history.
