It was a pretty vague statement. On the other hand, I would not be surprised in the least if the TV this weekend is interrupted for a breaking speech from the Prez about how he has ordered US air and naval assets deployed in support of the Iraq government. This does seem like something we are just not going to stay out of like we ought to. This is just the excuse we have needed to come down on the so-called AQ factions making trouble in Syria and Iraq. McCain is salivating. Should this happen look for some real shock and awe as the US rips them to shreds. Obama has no problem killing. He just droned the people who took Bergdahl today in attacks all over Pakistan.

Lol, so Obama is a failure if he doesn't help, and if he does.

Doesn't matter what he does, some people just hate him.

Iran has come in on the side of the Iraq government and promised troops and aid. Are we then going to fight alongside Iran? Please! Invading Iraq was stupid to begin with. Enougb American blood has been spilled there. We did not fight to win there, Saddam was actually keeping the jihadists in check, though no ally of ours he did at least do that. Idk...its just a mess.

I would rather see us bomb the **** out of the country and AQ than see the thousands of American lives given for nothing.

Your last sentence says it all.

And yes Iran is going to come in and help because the people running Iraq at the moment have a matching religeon, whereas the ISIS folks are the ones that ran Iraq when Iran fought a war with them. It makes sense in a way.

But it gets some really weird possibilities like Iran requesting and receiving a US drone strike.....
