You support the idea of smaller government, you hate Obama, you hate taxes and agree with "taxed enough already" and yet you pay little or no taxes. You support SS and Medicare. You support Medicare and Parts B, C, and D and yet you have no concept of the cost of those programs. You collect at at least two and maybe three or more government disability checks and benefits but you oppose Snap, Tanf, unemploment, Section 8, medicaid for children, etc. You support big defense spending at the same time you want to cut school lunches and childrens health care. You dont have a problem with spending $520 billion for defense and $200 billion for VA but the folks who fork out the bill when they get an ACA subsidy of $16 billion thats welfare. They shouldnt expect a handout-subsidy since thats reserved for the Tea Party types.

Clearly dont know what a Tea Party conservative believes.

I am not part of any Tea Party movment. I am a conservative. BUT I do know what is what and you are either deliberately using strawman talking points or you are utterly ignorant on this subject and ought to stick to thinks that you can handle like making mud pies and pushing tonka trucks around.

I've worked with these types:

1) They hate paying taxes, yet whine and scream when the government doesn't repave their road immediately, etc.

2) They hate "welfare," but expect Medicare and SS to be there for them, of course, as well as mortgage deductions, etc. Basically, if they don't benefit from it, it's "welfare for liberals!," but if they do benefit from it, they "earned it!"

3) They consider everyone younger than them useless, lazy, and uneducated. And yet they have only high-school degrees and are absolutely lazy and friggin' useless employees.

4) They want everyone to "pitch in" and hate free-rides... and yet they hate the ACA, even though it does exactly that - it forces everyone to pitch in. Why do they hate it? Because THEY might have to pitch in, too.

5) They believe in guns for everyone... provided "everyone" only includes people just like them. When it comes to minorities, etc. they believe they have a right to kill such people on sight if they "feel threatened."

6) They hate Obama, but refuse to admit to just how many of his policies were just continuations of the ones established by Bush. They also honestly believe that voting Republican will change everything... even when it didn't last time.

7) They hate the debt and high government spending, but they want to "turn the Middle East to glass" and scream and yell about how Obama is weak for not starting a war with every nation out there that has done anything wrong (Russia, etc.)

8) They feel the government should have no right to tax people, regulate guns, etc... but the government should have a right to prevent abortions, punish gay people and minorities, and prohibit religions other than theirs.

9) They are "pro-life" - right up until the child is born. Then, if he's poor, a minority, etc, they don't want any of their money going to support "those people."

10) They claim to be "true patriots" yet yearn to basically undo the Constitution and turn the nation over to special interest groups by gutting any voice the people might have... because if the people have a voice, they might vote against the Tea Party, and we can't have that!

Didn't know adding hard returns and numbers to the OP is worth posting.

The Tea Party is essentially the Republican Party. The Republican Party has since 2010 esseentially been the party of Medicare, VA, and big defense spending. The VA budget is on the way to another $500 billion tacked to the deficit.

Tea Party Hypocrisy

Hate to pee on your parade but #4 is not true. EVERYONE is not paying. There have been way too many Medicaid signups who will be paying nothing. But as all of us know, there is no free healthcare, the rest of us will be paying the bill.

I feel I am taxed enough, perhaps too much.
I am a VET but have never used the VA, nor will I ever.
I doubt I will ever use medicare, medicaid or any such programs.
I am for reducing defense spending. 25% would be a good start. But then we need to cut the missions. In other words stop the world cop missions. Libya and Syria for example. Get out of Afghanistan and learn to mind our own business.
The problem with some is they want cuts in the military only to use the money to expand social programs.
Cuts in school programs. School districts can't raise taxes to fund the projects they believe in? How about modify school taxes so that everyone pays in and not only property owners?
