Obama agreed to follow Bush's withdrawal timeline, but is accused of being disinterested in managing it and possible consequences.

"Unfortunately, this administration's principal interest seemed to be not stability in Iraq, not partnership with Iraq, or even Iraq as a hedge against extremism in the region."

We needed a much better president to follow Bush, too bad we got his twin brother.

Who exactly would you have proposed instead of Obama?

At this rate, I think anyone would have been better than someone whose primary reason to vote him into the highest executive office in the world despite zero executive experience was that he was cool.

Even as bad as Hillary has been lately, she wouldn't be "as" bad.

1. Even Sarah "I Can See Alaska From My House" Palin?

2. Why exactly do you say that?

So what is he supposed to do? Get back into the unnecessary and expensive war we JUST got out of? Iraq's stability is not our concern especially when they told us to get out.

He promised we'd get out...we are getting out.

The GOP doesn't like it when he keeps his promises *almost* as much as when he doesn't.

What was Obama to do? Apparently show some interest in what was going on and the consequences as to what was building.

#1 Palin wasn't running for President.

#2 I think you mean Russia and not Alaska.

#3 It was Tina Fey on SNL pretending to be Palin that said she could see Russia from her house, Palin said that from a spot in Alaska you can see Russia - which is true, although a silly overall point.

#4 Yes Palin can be ditsy, Obama is also ditsy.

Technically it was Bush's timeline and promise. Candidate Obama made it seem like he would get out quicker than Bush's timeline. Democrats secretly love Bush policies, so long as it is Obama doing it.

If Obama would have managed the withdrawal better we could perhaps be out and not have ISIS running over the entire country. I expect a president to at least show interest in what is going on and possible consequences.

So what exactly should Obama have done differently? Seeing we are playing armchair quarterback here.
