As per the pacifists here in this thread lets not only outlaw guns but taking it to the next level (which will surely come once the guns are outlawed) anything that can kill will be outlawed one by one.
Where are these same pacifists and media when a gun saves a persons life?
I'm not an advocate for any more gun control laws. I believe that all guns should be legal and available to law abiding citizens. I'm a member of the largest gun advocacy citizen group in Arizona and have provided input to state legislators concerning our concealed carry laws and where one can have a gun. I have more true assault weapons and federal tax stamped firearms than you've probably ever seen.
I vehemently disagree with some of the strong arm tactics that the radical gun nuts put out there in the name of all gun owners and I was directly responding to your post trying to deflect the OP's valid point by bringing in the children.

This was in Springs, Texas where the good guy Ron Haskell decided to be the bad guy with a gun. He shot and killed six relatives before being chased down and surrendering to the police. I guess Open Carry Texas has a point...the more guns the less murder.

Obama attempted gun control and lost badly so now you're butthurt and every time there's a gun incident we can count on one of theses "I told ya so" threads by a lib. We get that. So what else have you got? That's rhetorical BTW......
This Haskell had previous run ins with the law so was he still a "good guy"? Did he legally own the weapon or weapons he used? Its a tragedy and a family is dead and that's the focus and we shouldn't make light of it like the OP.
The woman he was seeking had a court order against him. Do we condemn the legal system and police for failure to stop this man? Where did he obtain the weapon? Was he being medicated and what was he on when he committed this unspeakable crime? Its always far more involved than a weapon being used to kill, but its still necessary to point that out to some people.
He's in custody and we'll have the answers to these questions depending on how important the case is to the media to reveal them to the public.

What "gun control" law would have prevented this event from occurring? Most of the gun control advocates are focused on rifles, not the most poweful rifles, just the scary looking black rifles. However, the vast majority of gun deaths occur with a handgun and between people involved in gangs/drugs. So I ask once again, what law would have prevented the shootings?
This guy obviously had a problem, I'm willing to bet some of his friends or co-workers had concerns about him. The solution would have been to report him and separate him from his gun, not everyone should own a gun.
