I saw the movie "The Condemned" last night and I have to admit it would be cheaper and far more of a burden on the tax payers if we took the worst of the worst put them on a island[filled cameras and heavily camouflaged camera teams] and let them fight it out to the end, were the winning teams or sole surviving inmate would be given amnesty $5,000,000 and set free.
What is your take?
What a stupendous idea!
Instead of two dead multiple murderers/child rapists, we now have one, AND he gets $5 million in taxpayer money plus amnesty so he could kill/rape again.
Didn't think this through, did you?

You assume it would be taxpayer money, it would not be...
Well we have a death row system that is wasting millions ever year, did you think of that?

PS This would be Strictly by choice, they would not be force to fight if they dont want to..

It costs $90,000 to keep an inmate on death row for one year. He'd have to be on death row for over 55 years to total five million.
Average stay on death row is 15 years.
Did you think of doing the math?
Gunlover seems to think it doesn't make economic sense to spend $1.35 million to keep an inmate on death row for 15 years. It's better to give them $5 million and amnesty.
Damn, they really don't teach anything at those American schools, do they?

How many? What difference does it make?
Again...and I'll type verrrrry slowly....average length of stay on death row is 15 years, at a cost of $1.35 million.
You want to give them $5 million and set them free.
