Though the Founders wisely prohibited the Congress from establishing a religion (an officially recognized church, such as the Church of England) it is a historical fact that the the Colonists were Christians of various sects. So, I think it's safe to say that at our founding, we were in fact "a Christian nation." I can't help it if that offends you. History is what it is. You can't change it.

It is a free nation, because we have the right to practice whatever religion we believe in, but the nation was formed based on Christian beliefs. I am sure you learned that in elementary school.
Perhaps the reality where it is illegal to discriminate based on sexual orientation, where there are books and magazines devoted to homosexuality, where there are television shows and movies including homosexuality, where the CEO of Mozilla was forced to resign due to opposing gay marriage, etc.

at least theres a little balance, this was refreshing news, all I hear is gay parades, gay rights, gay marriage demands, even in my own city there's gay pride parades every year! I am glad to hear something against gays although this is extreme of course...

What Christian beliefs are codified into law? God isn't even mentioned in the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson despised most religious elements of Christianity. The only thing he supported was the moral teachings of Jesus. Numerous founders rejected or questioned Jesus' divinity and the Trinity.
