When they involve children, who can't very well make their own decisions? Lots. I have no problem with using government to protect children when the adults in their lives aren't up to it.
In this case, clearly the parents and the so-called "professionals" sure as all-out didn't know their ass from their elbow. It's cold comfort that the only person who actually died was an adult.
What anti gunner can tell me how many other children have fired this style of weapon?
The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.

Obviously what we need is a goverment mandated food plan where you have to feed your children the government provided meal and only the government provided meal at the mandated time because some parents feed their kids candy all the time causing health problems and early death.

Nah, we just need to protect from the worst excesses. And actual malnutrition is a classic case where CPS intervenes.

As evidenced by the result which some ignore while spouting nonsense about other youngsters who might have previously shot an UZI. Who gives a rip? Because you defy logic and survive does that mean every single kid and parent should be allowed or encouraged to defy logic?

If you want to appear well-read, you'd do better to not post bogus quotes - in plain terms, Hitler didn't write that. You've been had. Someone made up a cool quote and you fell for it. Now, are you going to trust them on other things?

I appear to not have made myself clear. I have no problem stating that full-auto weapons shouldn't be put in the hands of children. It should, I confess, be one of those things clear to the meanest understanding, but if people can't figure out the difference between guns and toys on their own, it appears cooler heads have to step in.
Here we go ladies and gentleman...you are not dead, unless it's by a gun...
Until you and the left can provide how many other children have shot that same style weapon...you have a failed discussion...why you ask.....CAUSE A CHILD'S DEATH IS A DEATH....period end of story...
Nonsense.
Certain activities are much riskier and less appropriate for a nine year-old than others. If you have kids and can't grasp that, then you have a failed parenting situation.
What anti gunner can tell me how many other children have fired this style of weapon?
Go ahead, I'll wait.....tic-toc....
Until then, your argument is baseless...
Do I give a sh.t? I for one don't need to see 9-year-olds with missing limbs before I get the idea that perhaps "Children with Chainsaws" isn't a good idea for a franchise. Your mileage may of course vary.
