Plus they fail to acknowledge that the earth is about 15 C below its normal high temperature. Maybe the Warmers are the true Deniers of what geologists have know for a long time already...

Lets put the article in proper context.

First, there isn't a surge in sea-levels. What the article is saying is that the sea-level rise has been greater in certain regions of Antarctica relative to the rest of the world because freshwater is less dense than saltwater. Thus it should be expected that sea-level rise would be inconsistent across the world because of differences in salinity levels.

It is certainly true that the disproportionately high sea-level in Antarctica is caused by an increase in freshwater caused by melting ice. But we must keep in mind that the melting ice is mostly coming from the "ground-based ice sheet"(unlikely to be directly related to atmospheric warming), and that there has been a significant increase in snowfall(IE an increase in precipitation) on Antarctica. With increased levels of precipitation, we should expect increased levels of freshwater(even the weight of the additional snow would create significant heat from friction at ground level).

The article is interesting, but it doesn't really say anything of importance. The only good data that the article provides is that sea-levels have risen 6 cm in the last ~20 years or so. Which is something which was known prior to this article.

Good information, and I believe that the Daily Mail is owned outright by Rupert Murdoch, or an Australian private equity group (CHAMP) that he has holdings in (likely majority)

We all know that FOX is the number one science denier in the mainstream media and more responsible for the Dumbing Down of America than any other media outlet.

Nice blog BTW, saving that reference.

Stop and think for a moment.

Do you expect anyplace on earth to remain static?

The earth is alive and dynamic and is constantly changing. Ice melts, water freezes, land rises from tectonic plate shift and sinks from the weight of ancient ice fields.

All the while the elements of light, temperature, atmosphere and gravity remain within tolerable limits to support life as we know it.

If, I say IF, humans were able to control the dynamics of earth, like an engineer tending to a boiler, at what point would their actions be reversed to cause another ice age? Oops! went too far, release the steam valve!

Are the HCGW political hacks so egotistical to think their concerns are even listed on the earth's agenda?
Clearly there are two levels of HCGW advocates. The people making political hay holding hands with the profiteers, and then you have the fringe extreme element who long for paleolithic times.

The HCGW hucksters are like a little kid in the back seat pretending to drive the family car by turning their ipad or teddy bear side to side.

Interesting. How did you conclude that sea levels rising are due to AGW?

Just another leap from one measure to a wild conjecture?

Looks like bad news for alarmists.

That is, after all, the goal of the AGW hoax believers. They love transferring wealth from the working class to the elite class.
