There may be valid arguments to be made but these aren't them.

Just to adress one. The WV spill. There were rules and regulations in place. They weren't enforced. Those who were supposed to inspect never bothered.

It starts off with a very old pic portraying child labor. In places today there are places far less free and there is still children being used for the labor.

Oh and I am sure that Big Business does not use its power to reduce the ability of the government to actual enforce those regulations through bodies like the EPA. They don't bribe politicians that then cut funding to the EPA. No way that doesn't happen.

There was not a failure of the regulations at all. We are dealing with the consequences of capitalist attacks on the enforcement institutions.

Some people will come up with any excuse to justify big corporations poisoning themselves and their children. The Koch Brothers agenda aims at eliminating the very institution that keeps polluters at bay. Why do you guys think Big Business has the right to poison you and your children?

And some people will come up with any excuse to take money out of other people pockets so they can line their own and others without doing work.

I know you want to change the subject. But, let's try to focus here. Do you really believe that having clean air to breath and clean water to drink is actually an imposition on business? I put people over profits and not the other way around. Your right to profit does not trump my right to clean water and air. You don't have the right to poison me or my children. Why do you think you have the right to poison me and my family?

These pics have far less to do with the "Free Market" and far more to do with "Lax Government Regulation" for the most part.

Do you honestly believe there would be no child labour, fires, building collapse, environmental disregard, financial shenanigans or unsafe working conditions under a Communist system?

The EPA has become far too powerful, and is totally out of control. The EPA tells land owners, even owners of small farms, what they can and cannot do with their property, declaring private property as "wetland" which limits it's use by the owner. This is only one example.

Cutting funding is one of the only ways "we the people" (through our Representatives) have of reigning in these bureaucratic, dictatorial, agencies, who answer to no one, are run by unelected officials, who issue regulations based on faulty science (even faux science, such as the AGW "science") which affects every aspect of our lives negatively, such as driving up the cost of electricity, and even the cost of automobiles.

Many here argue that those rules shouldnt be in place in the first place, and many on the right seem to not want to fund the regulators.

so the argument here should be about defining free markets first.
