Manchin: Willing to shut down government over war vote - CNN.com

Quote:
"At the end of the day, most of the arms that we give to people are used against us. Most of the people we train turn against us," Manchin said
Quote:
"In West Virginia, at least we know the definition of insanity -- doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results," he said. "This has to be a ground game by the people of that region."
Joe knows how to speak his mind for sure!

I wasn't sure about Joe as Senators don't always act like they did as governor. Jay Rockefeller sure didn't.

I didn't vote for him in the special election to replace Byrd but I did in 2012 when it seemed he was going to be pretty darn true to his word. Word is though, he doesn't care much for Washington and may not run again. It seems to be a pretty lousy place for one who wants to vote how he says he will vote.

Good for Manchin for saying this.

Makes sense, we'll probably be fighting the Syrians in two - three years.

He's right. It happens all the time just as he described it.

Quote:
"At the end of the day, most of the arms that we give to people are used against us. Most of the people we train turn against us," Manchin said Tuesday on CNN's "New Day."

You think it's the "Bankers and Bomb Makers" that are trying to arm Syrian rebels to fight ISIS/ISIL????

Where is your cave? Obama gave a Prime Time Address to the Nation last week to outline his "strategy" for ISIS/ISIL. Joe is standing up to the President, because it is Obama that came up with this "plan".

As a rule -- he pretty much votes with Harry Reid on the few things that Harry Reid allow them to vote on. Joe talks a lot, but he tends to vote the Dem Party Line.

They often fund both sides of wars...win-win for them. Both nations go further in debt and they collect more and more interest.
