Why is the public if not embracing him more!!!!

Good Morning America hired him which is a great start and sign that maybe America will focus on positive behavior and even though we don't have to ruin these losers careers, who hit women and kids, it is great if sponsors move away from them and their salaries are cut to a minimum and perhaps they will loose benefits like getting money for injuries after they retire since their so called loved ones probably have life time injuries...just let them play and show the difference between good behavior and bad and don't let these losers be on welfare so we have to start paying for them.

I applaud Tim Tebow and how he lives his life!

Maybe one day the POTUS will come forward and say Tim could have been his son after all Obama has 2 sides to his background so it could have been possible and rather applaud a positive guy than one out in the rain buying stuff to smoke bad stuff.

NFL star? That's a stretch, but yes Tebow serves as a good role model, as there are thousands of others that have passed through the NFL. Not everyone is a bad guy.

ha ha. That's what I was going to say. Good guy, good role model: Yes,. NFL star: No, not even close.

There's a few reasons, and his faith does play a bit of a part in that. Not everyone's a Christian, you know.

But for the love of God, Tim Tebow is NOT a good quarterback and he's too stuborn to play a different position. That's the only reason why he's not in the league anymore.

I don't know why people can't see that, so no, he's no "NFL star". Bringing Tebow into what's going on with the NFL right now is pointless.

I always admired Bart Starr. He walked his talk, and a great quarterback to boot (to the Cowboys dismay).

Comes across as a real nice guy, no off the field issues, was a great college player. However, that doesn't translate into being a good NFL Quarterback. As far as throwing a football, being able to properly read a NFL defense, and what you need to be a good or even mediocre Quarterback in the NFL he sucks.

Starr who was a star was born in 1934. I think the poster is talking about role models today...
But going with the Packer theme, Brett Farr and Aaron Rodgers. Or how about Drew Brees
who said "we all are not brutes" and Madieu Williams or Nnamdi Asomugha (if anyone can say it)

Drew Brees, J.J. Watt insist not all NFL players are 'brutes' - ESPN

There are a lot of good role models in the NFL.

Let's not take a few players and paint the whole league. Unfortunately, ones like Michael Vic are allowed to play (after all he didn't hit a person - cough cough) so maybe its the NFL that needs to clean up ITS standards. They can start with Vic.

Please stop the victim attacking. Trayvon Martin was not out "buying stuff to smoke bad stuff"

You like Tim Tebow, i do too, but why the need to demonize someone to glorify another ???
