Yeah and except for the fact that for most of that 4.54 billion years humans could not have survived the conditions existing on earth....You conveniently forgot, or more likely didn't know that fact.
Actually, thats part of my point.
We are approaching carbon levels never experienced by humans. We could all die from the effects. The Earth, will be just fine.
I liked George, but he was no scientist, although I'm guessing he fits the bill for deniers....
Certainly he is as much a scientist as Matt Ridley, who by the way is NOT a scientist, but a news journalist.

Tell me if any of the following is wrong:
1. The earth is 4.5-4.7 billion years old.
2. Humans have been around for roughly 200K years.
3. Over 99% of all species that have ever lived on earth are gone.
4. The sun will eventually engulf the earth. If humans haven't succumb to the numerous natural catastrophic events preceding that the odds are that will do us in.
We need another planet for the people who don't believe in science and feel that they can do what ever they want.
Wrong.
Because I believe in science I know regardless of what we do our number will be called. Not only that, after we're out of here the earth's number will eventually get called as well.
Over 99% of all species that have ever lived on earth in 4.7 billion years of existence are gone.
The math is staggering.
