This is absurd. At least you have a child. The people in her community need to grow up.

Chicago-area sperm bank is being sued by an Ohio woman for mistakenly giving her vials from an African-American donor, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Jennifer Cramblett, who is white, filed a lawsuit stating that Midwest Sperm Bank gave her the vials of a black man instead of the white man she and her partner had chosen. Documents show that Cramblett and her partner, Amanda Zinkon, chose donor No. 380, who is white. However, they were sent the sperm from donor No. 330, who is black.

When the couple ordered more vials so that they could have more children using sperm from the original white donor they claim they requested, it was then that they realized the initial donor didn’t match the one they requested. But by then, Cramblett was pregnant.

So you think it is absurd a woman is suing because they got the wrong sperm? Returning it for a refund isn't exactly an option.

Would you be ok if the woman terminated the child?

Well, she might have a case for a lawsuit, but I don't see why she would pursue it. After all, the child is her's. She's virtually neglecting her daughter. Get over it, and be a mother.

The money she receives from the law suite will allow her to provide a better life for her daughter.

It's not absurd. It's not what she PAID and signed up for.

Maybe they should move out west after they settle. Nobody cares about mixed kids anymore around here. They are everywhere. The east/midwest has a ways to go, although I suspect that much of her suit is exaggeration.

But why she is coming forth now as the daughter has grown to a certain age? She's basically making her case for distress from stigmatization in her community. A baby is shown to be biracial upon birth. Why didn't she sue then?

What difference does that make?

Do you get all worked up when a woman reports a rape 2 years after it happened?

That is a very good question.

There are issues that come with raising a bi-racial child that would not be present with an all-white/non-bi-racial child. Looks to me like once the realities set in, it was a different story.
