Most of the chocolate comes from the Ivory Coast and Ghana (the majority of chocolate for Hershey is from Ghana, which is on the east side of Ivory Coast.)
Ivory Coast closed its border between themselves and Liberia last August, but anything is possible.
Since I only eat Hershey's, I guess I'm safe for now--but maybe I should stock up.
It seems unlikely that if someone is so sick with ebola and exhibiting symptoms of explosive diarrhea and vomiting, that they'd be at work at the chocolate factory.
Just to point out, it is cocoa beans that come from Africa. They're sent elsewhere to make the chocolate.
