Right-wingers would prefer that money go into the offshore accounts of the 1%.
And your proof of that is what? I'm a right winger. I don't remember you asking me what my preference is. Seems like you're talking out of your rear end.
Citing past productivity correlations, minimum wage should be rougly $21 / hour.
And who says that minimum wage should be based on productivity? Before you can say that minimum wage should be $21/hr based on productivity correlations, you first have to demonstrate that minimum wage should be based on productivity correlations in the first place. Earlier in this thread you accused someone else of using a strawman argument, but your own argument is a fallacy of assumption.

Why do you think wages should not be based on productivity? Time alone does not measure how productive someone is.
Wages should be based on value to the owners (based on productivity), and value from the culture (based on sales).
Yes, so wages should not have been stagnant for the past few decades when productivity and profitability have reached record levels. We have alot of making up to do.
I agree that large minimum wages should not be imposed on small American businesses but they should be imposed on nationless corporations-especially ones we bailed out.
Seattle socialists have been pushing for a $15/hr minimum wage, but the real goal is closer to $20/hr as even movement leader and self-described 'Marxist' Kshama Sawant has stated. She has said that $15 is just a nice round number that appears attainable right now, but that she has bigger and better goals in mind. Hey...good for her, she is willing to embrace the reductio ad absurdum that liberals would so often shy away from.
They are really undermining themselves here though. If a young programmer could get a $13/hr job as a web designer at the Freedom Socialist (oxymoron much?) party, and do a good job, he/she could probably rise up through the ranks and end up with a nice paying career. If the $20/hr minimum wage were to be imposed, the position would never be offered, and the young programmer might end up on food stamps and SSD.
Socialism is an ideology that is based on hypocrisy. This is why progressives are immune to the fact of their own daily hypocritical existence.

And just how many min wage jobs do you think Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan have ?
Because that is who the Fed bailed out.
Your min wage jobs are at McDonald's and Walmart.
Have you followed McDonald's at all ? Revenue down yet again and US customer traffic has taken a steep blow.
Shares are down near $30/share since May 2014.
Min wage has not been stagnant for decades. It was last raised in the summer of 2009.
