Sailors attacked, have bags placed over heads in Turkey - CNN.com

They were throwing stones at them! WTH??

"Three U.S. Navy sailors were assaulted and had bags placed over their heads during a stop in Istanbul, Turkey, according to U.S. military officials.

The incident, captured on video, happened Wednesday when sailors from the USS Ross were attacked by members of the Turkish Youth Union, according to local Turkish press accounts."

When I was in SETAF, I went to Turkey quite a bit. I love the country, and I have an incredible fondness for Turkish people.

But even then, during the Cold War, I never thought that stationing troops in Turkey made any sense...and it still doesn't.

I think these Turkish youth union or whatever they call them are still freaking bullies. (yeah I watched the video)
