"Sullivan led Begich by about 8,100 votes on Election Night last week, and when state officials counted absentee and questioned ballots Tuesday, the results indicated that Begich could not overcome Sullivan's lead."

I think that makes 8 pick-ups.

And it's a virtual certainty that the Republican will pull out Louisiana in the run off to make it 9 Senate pick ups. What a drubbing the Democrats took....wow!

So it looks like a probable 54-46 GOP majority. It's of limited import at this time, since 60 is the magic number in the Senate. It's good news for 2016 though, since it means D's will have to win one more seat to regain the Senate.

None of these Senate races were even very close. Iowa was supposed to be neck and neck, but Joni Ernst won 52-43...not even close. This was a great year for the GOP, now let's see what they do with it.

Unsurprisingly, Obama rubber stamp Mark Begich refuses to concede. He should have never even been a Senator - the only reason he won was because of gutter Democrat politics used against Ted Stevens.

Not a good election cycle for Democrat Senators named Mark. Udall, Pryor and Begich lost and Warner came very close to losing. Maybe these fools will finally realize that marching lockstep with King Obama isn't smart.

"It's of limited import at this time,"

I disagree. The next election will have dems running for re-election. They value their career's MORE then their support for obama.

If bipartisan bills are passed, as has happened even though many lefties deny it, those career dems do NOT want to be the ones to kill those bills and chance NOT getting re-elected.
