Allowing illegals to stay, and fixing the immigration system is a boom to the economy. That creates new demand, which drives jobs, and increases wages. It also keeps food, housing, and other things you buy cheaper, which gives you more money to buy things you like.

So please, explain to me how the President is supposed to increase wages on his own, without congress

I see people on here telling Obama to make them a job and to set gas prices. There are countries where that happens. I don't want to live in any of them.

Some posters always want free stuff and don't consider how it happens. They just want Daddy O' to fix their problem. Even if he has no power to do what they want, it doesn't matter. Some people just don't get it, so they scream for Obama to make them a job, stop illegals - he has a magic illegal stopping hat - and take care of the poor without spending any money.

This is why I come here. I like watching the absurd.

More worried that a Mexican National gets a job in the USA, than an American.

Obama himself promised that more jobs would be created under his administration. He ran on that platform so talk to him about it then instead of attacking posters who want him to keep his promises.

Indeed ridding ourselves of illegal aliens would open up job opportunities and increase wages for Americans. Anyone remaining in denial about that either has a screw loose or isn't being honest. The absurd is acting like we can't enforce our immigration laws or at least removing the incentives for illegals to remain here or continue to come here.

Employer sanctions are the only way you are going to see illegal alien invasion stop.
Everything done to keep from sanctioning employers for hiring illegals, has been an incentive to come here.

It is in the law that we have today.

Actually, we would need to go even further than that. Benefits and birthright citizenship for their kids are a big draw also.

Appears it isn't only Obama. Several administrations have allowed illegal immigration to continue. I live in the southwest and you only have to drive by a school with kids out on the playground to see the transformation. You'd be lucky to see one or two blonde haired, blue eyed kids there. It's a sea of brown haired, brown eyed kids whom mostly are Latino. So much for diversity!

Obama has a vested interest in being good to the illegals -- the future of the Democratic Part-ay depends on it, and the Obama family tree is infested with illegal aliens.

Here's two of them: his uncle and aunt, both of him ignored deportation orders to stay here and live large while feeding like the pigs they are out of the taxpayer trough. Not shockingly, these two wonderful examples of humanity were inhabitants of Massachusetts for decades. It's a shame Ted wasn't able to take them for a drive before he went off to the Happy Hour down below.

Ted Kennedy would have approved of this fiasco. He's the one who opened up the floodgates in 1965 to every Third Worlder that could get here all the while promising it wouldn't alter our demographics or culture.
