Lets start off with the fact that there are no Jews in the Gaza Strip. Hamas is the controlling faction by coup and not by election. Over 100 trucks deliver products to the Gaza Strip nearly daily from Israel. There are nearly a dozen electrical lines that enter the Strip in which the power has never been cut off. Israel allows in numerous tankers of diesel into the Strip and instead of using it in their power plant, they sell it to car owners (it seems that having petrol for ones car is more important than for ones home). As to what comes in from Egypt, that's between the Gaza Strip and Egypt and has nothing to do with Israel. Egypt doesn't trust them either as they are currently bulldozing everything within 1 km of their border with them and the border is now closed most of the time. A high majority of altercations with Jews have been Hamas and not Fatah. But in the case of the West Bank it's difficult to separate one from the other.
Perhaps why doesn't Hamas stop the terror during actual talks to show good faith or even help talks. Hamas has many factions and it shows lack of control. It means no peace likely.
To deter terrorist activity instead of just using military actions on Gaza?
If HAMAS is being non-violent, Israel to give more autonomy and trust to HAMAS to bring in whatever they want into Gaza from Egypt
And if they demonstrate the opposite, then more surveillance on Gaza
Or try it one time and see if the trust can be unbreached and if it is breached then HAMAS will have to step down or it will be like now
What a crazy suggestion! Obviously one made based on lack of knowledge of history. Hamas is bent on the destruction of Israel and every time Israel has given more autonomy or trust, Hamas always eventually hurts Israelis and Israel more.
