Should atheists/atheism be banned in the United States?
In God We Trust is the official motto and appears on money, atheists are banned from holding public office in numberous states, statutory law where every person in office must take an oath that ends in 'So help me God', 'In the year of our Lord' is mentioned in the Constitution - and even President George H.W. Bush said, "No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God." Historically atheists are communists and supported communism, which is a big no no in America!
You can't. We eat babies and perform blood sacrifices and ritual killings.
NOW WAIT JUST A COTTON-PICKIN' MINNIT!
You claim to be an atheist. OK, who or what do you sacrifice to? Who or What are your "rituals" geared towards placating?
You (or maybe it was another self-described atheist, I don't keep track all that well) have repeatedly talked about constructing an altar to Lucifer or Beelzebub or some other Lord of Hades. What the hell is an atheist doing WORSHIPING the Lord of the Underworld?
Or worshiping ANY lord, for that matter.
IMO, either you are an atheist or you are a satanist. You can not be both.
If you are a satanist, you are in effect admitting that the Bible account of Lucifer's fall from grace is TRUE, therefore God MUST exist! I don't see how you can have one without the other!
Even if you just pay homage to The Flying Spaghetti Monster, you are acknowledging a Superior Being, and therefore you are NOT an Atheist!
By the way, I voted NO.

Just how would you enforce such a ban?......read people's minds?
Actually, making atheism illegal in this country would be a dream of mine. There'd be no faster way to increase the ranks of us atheists than banning us outright.
All of these atheists that sit on the fence by pretending to be mere 'agnostics' or some other euphemism for being non committal, would finally jump on the atheist train in defiance.
So please...ban atheism. Nothing would make me happier.

A lot of Atheists are libertarians, or even conservatives. Atheism should not be banned because people do not like it.
How would that ban be enforceable anyway, unless censorship or some other egregious violations of constitutional/civil rights occurs.
