EcoHealth Alliance head Daszak leaves UN-backed COVID origins probe

The head of a New York City-based nonprofit that directed hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal grant money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology is no longer part of a UN-backed commission examining the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.

EcoHealth Alliance president Peter Daszak’s profile on the website of The Lancet COVID-19 Commission has been updated to include the parenthetical quote “recused from Commission work on the origins of the pandemic.” The Daily Mail first reported on Daszak’s recusal Monday.

...
In his expanded disclosure, Daszak stated that EcoHealth’s work in China — including at the Wuhan lab — was funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Daszak also denied that he or EcoHealth received money directly from the Chinese government.

“EcoHealth Alliance’s work in China … includes the production of a small number of recombinant bat coronaviruses to analyse [sic] cell entry and other characteristics of bat coronaviruses for which only the genetic sequences are available,” he wrote. “NIH reviewed the planned recombinant virus work and deemed it does not meet the criteria that would warrant further specific review by its Potential Pandemic Pathogen Care and Oversight (P3CO) committee.”

The ball is slowly moving towards them admitting that they leaked this.

The problem is that a slow ball makes no impact. They will admit that they leaked this at some point.

Dr. Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance Gets Brutal News Over Infamous Wuhan ‘Conspiracy Theory’ Letter

Dr. Peter Daszak, a scientist who funneled millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Wuhan Institute of Virology through a “charity” called EcoHealth Alliance, has been disavowed by an influential medical journal. The Lancet had published an influential letter in early 2020, which was signed by a number of scientists, calling the Wuhan lab origin hypothesis a baseless “conspiracy theory.”

The infamous letter was a clear attempt to cut off legitimate scientific inquiry regarding a coronavirus strain that was running rampant across the globe, ultimately killing millions. The Lancet published the letter condemning “conspiracy theories” that the novel SARS-CoV-2 virus did not have a “natural origin.” It would be held up by media publications around the world as an authoritative statement closing off public debate over the virus’s origins.

...
It should be noted that several of the scientists who signed The Lancet letter have since changed their positions, a report from journalist Alexandros Marinos shows. Furthermore, several of the signatories are connected to EcoHealth, the controversial scientific group that funneled millions in U.S. taxpayer money to the Wuhan laboratory.

“The Lancet letter of Feb 18, 2020, sent a message to scientists the world over: Investigate a lab leak, and you will be tarred as conspiracy theorist,” Marinos wrote.

These are the experts and the prophets of the day upon which people pin their "knowledge".

What a joke...
