Not because of his message - obviously it appeals to a lot of people, or this thread wouldn't be 6 pages long. (I don't happen to agree at all with him, BTW).

Because of his body language. The animatronics figures at disneyland are more expressive. This is just an observation made after years of watching politicians of all stripes up close, and not at all a reflection of his character, which I am quite willing to assume is sterling.
Well you would be correct he does not sound or act like your typical politician.... THAT is what is appealing about him.

As a person who generally prefers oddballs to conformists, I understand what you are saying. Nevertheless, the reason why the overwhelming majority of politicians are extroverted and expressive is that this is the personality type that gets votes.

That's why the two presidents in my lifetime who most resemble each other are clinton and reagan. They both exhibit the people touch to the nth degree. There are plenty of people in this very forum who dislike obama because they see him as overly controlled and uncaring. Next to clarke, obama looks like the life of the party.

I repeat, I am not talking about policy stances here, I am talking about what appeals to most voters.

Yup, best to wait until the news media and the politicians tell you who you should listen to.

Is this the same Sheriff Clarke? He definitely has a future in politics--he tells a lot of falsehoods.

Common sense should tell you that, period. Basically this man is giving his honest perspectives on the situation, and yes, Obama certainly did contribute, for votes so did Eric Holder...just like Obama thru Hillary Clinton, under the bus.....

He is weak and a lousy leader.

Of course you're right, but how far do I need to read in this thread before someone tells you, "You don't get to decide who our leaders are!"? (code for "We like Sharpton, but can't admit it" )
